STUTTERING INFO. FOR PARENTS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN
- ~Many toddlers/preschool age children stutter as they are learning to talk, and although many parents worry about it, most of these children will grow out of stuttering and will have normal speech as they get older. Since most of these children don't stutter as adults, this normal stage of speech development is usually referred to as psuedostuttering or as a normal dysfluency.

- I have throughly enjoyed working on my blog. Through research, I have learned lots of interesting facts, myths and educators tips. My favorite part was adding visual aids and the section that is for parents who have young children who stutter. Hopefully, my blog has been a great teaching tool that educated my classmates/future colleagues.
Conclusion
- Stuttering is a communication disorder that is prevalant among young children but is often "treated" before adulthood. This is also a communication disorder that is negatively stereo-typed amongst people and can impact the stutterer's social, mental and occupational life. Stuttering can be categorized into 1.repetitions 2.prolongations 3.abnormal stoppages. To improve fluency of the stutterer, SLPs are highly recommended .
